LENSWORK

Founder of the Lambert Phillips Foundation, Scottish-born documentary photographer Grace Lambert-Phillips explores themes of connection, culture, and heritage through her evocative visual storytelling. Her passion for photography began as a young student, immersed in the raw, hands-on process of film. This early experience cemented her dedication to the poetic craft of black-and-white photography.
Grace’s career took shape in her early twenties, following a chance encounter with renowned artist Jack Vettriano. She went on to photograph his life and, in turn, became a muse in his paintings — a creative exchange that deeply rooted her practice in narrative and storytelling.
Since then, she has continued to expand her portfolio, capturing the rich cultural heritage of Europe through her lens. Now based in Tuscany, she documents the region’s art and traditions while revisiting the legacy of the Grand Tour and its significance for the modern-day traveller.
