DISCOVERING IMPORTANT STORIES. TELLING THEM THROUGH THE LENS
DISCOVERING ITALY - 2020 - 2021
"I arrived in Florence in September 2020 to find a city enjoying the end of the summer and a fairly normal life again, with masks only to be worn inside shops. However,by the end of October the 2nd lockdown was announced and I found myself walking along empty streets. It was an unusual experience to witness such a city, normally dominated by tourists, so spacious and quiet. Landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio and Vasari's corridor, I would often be walking on alone. As a photographer, it was an opportunity, to spend time there amongst the great works of art and witnessed the space and beauty of Florence as we may never see it again ."
